As locals, we believe that the best way to experience the real Sonoma and Napa wine country, is to do it on
two wheels. And we have
pretty good balance, too.

Our local founders and guides are the heart of Wine Country Vespa trips. Together, they form a diverse cadre of knowledgeable Vespa riders who know Sonoma/Napa in and out and have been exploring this area on two wheels for many years. You can’t help but share their authentic enthusiasm for this beautiful slice of the world.

Johnna & Roy: The captain of Wine Country Vespa, Johnna is a writer, wine lover, and Sonoma County native who survived a red-headed childhood living atop one our area’s largest peaks. In her spare time, she enjoys making her own olive oil, pizzelles, and custom disco cakes. Johnna often rides her Vespa like she stole it and can often be found at the scene of a commotion. Roy rode his first vintage shifter Vespa in Rome years ago, while visiting his Italian family who refer to him as their “American” cousin. After a colorful career in the music business, he’s most fortunate to be spending his days teaching at a local college, cooking, drinking wine, playing the Hammond organ, and riding/cavorting with the hilarious and talented Johnna.

Logan: Combining his love of travel, food, wine, and a degree in anthropology, Logan is a twenty-something, local native who has been riding Vespas for the past 5 years. He has mad computer skills, makes his own artisan cheeses, collects wine, loves Hawaii, and plays the ukelele. Logan is currently planning a ride to Central America on his Vespa LX150 -- from California.

Scot & Sheryl: When he’s not guiding bicycle tours through Italy, master bike-builder Scot can be found pedaling on two wheels all over the Western United States. He knows wine country roads and trails like a kid knows candy. Sheryl is an incredibly talented artist whose work graces many major collections. She also creates commercial works for home chains like Pottery Barn and others when she’s not ice skating, dancing her tail off, or taming Rex Everything – the wonder dog.
